Popular socialite and businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has expressed frustration over the poor state of healthcare services in Nigeria.
Taking to his Instagram page, the nightlife entrepreneur revealed that he is currently feeling unwell and had gone to a local hospital for a medical checkup. However, he was left disappointed by the attitude and lack of professionalism displayed by the healthcare workers.
According to him, the experience was so discouraging that he abandoned the idea of getting checked and simply picked up some medication instead.
“I’m not feeling too good. Went for a checkup, but the way the staff were behaving, I just collected drugs and left,” he shared.
Cubana Chiefpriest added that he now plans to get a proper medical examination done during his next trip to the UK — a statement that reflects the growing lack of trust many Nigerians have in the local healthcare system.
His remarks echo a broader public sentiment about the challenges in accessing quality healthcare in the country, from poor infrastructure to unmotivated medical personnel.
