Sosoliso plane crash survivor and singer, Kechi Okwuchi, has undergone another surgery, this time on her eyelid.
The America’s Got Talent finalist has undergone about 140 surgeries since the tragic December 10, 2005 plane crash that claimed 106 lives, including those of 60 of her schoolmates.
Sharing updates on her social media handles on Sunday, September 14, Kechi posted photos of herself on her hospital bed three days after the procedure, radiating her trademark strength and positivity.
She explained that the surgery was necessary because the skin around her eyelid had become too tight, making it difficult to close her eyes or blink properly.
“Currently 3 days post-op from eyelid surgery. The skin on my eyelids is tight, making me unable to close my eyes or blink properly, which started to affect my eyesight, hence the need for surgery. My last surgery was in 2019 so it’s kinda weird to be back here after so long lol,” she wrote.
