Nigerian music video director TG Omori has recently shared a powerful message about the overwhelming expenses associated with healthcare in Nigeria.
In a heartfelt post on X, Omori revealed that the amount he spent on his health over just six months could have instead bought him two Mercedes Benz GLEs and a small C300. He emphasized the age-old saying, “health is wealth true true,” highlighting the harsh reality many Nigerians face.
Following up, Omori shed light on the struggles of everyday Nigerians, pointing out that a single dialysis session costs over ₦100,000, and patients often require up to three sessions per week. This starkly contrasts with the national minimum wage of just ₦70,000, underscoring the financial burden on families.
The director admitted that this grim reality brought him to tears while at the hospital, expressing a deep sense of hopelessness for the common man caught in the costly healthcare system.
