An urgent recall has been issued for three Dubai-style chocolate products due to the presence of undeclared nuts, posing a serious health risk to consumers with nut allergies.
The UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) has confirmed that Noesis Shokolade Love of Dubai, Fix it Dubai Kunafa Chocolate, and Le Damas Dubai Chocolate Kunafa and Pistachio all contain peanuts, almonds, cashews, and walnuts that are not listed on their packaging.
The FSA warned that unsuspecting consumers could suffer severe allergic reactions if they eat these chocolates without knowing about the hidden allergens. As a result, food retailers have been instructed to immediately stop selling these items, remove them from shelves, and issue public recalls.

All affected products, regardless of batch or best-before date, have been traced back to the supplier Black Sea Trading Ltd, which authorities have been unable to contact so far. Due to this, urgent food safety measures are being taken at the retail level to protect public health.
Consumers who have purchased any of these chocolates are strongly advised not to eat them. Instead, they should safely dispose of the products and report their purchase to the local Trading Standards office.
Dubai-style chocolate, originally created by Dubai-based Fix Dessert Chocolatier in 2021, has rapidly gained worldwide popularity. The treat typically features layers of crispy kunafa, pistachio cream, and tahini spread. A viral TikTok video by food influencer Maria Vehera played a key role in boosting its global demand.

This soaring demand has contributed to a global pistachio shortage. Reports indicate that Iran exported 40% more pistachios to the UAE in the last six months compared to the entire previous year. This shortage is further worsened by poor harvests in the United States, the world’s largest pistachio producer.
