Renowned Nollywood actor and producer Femi Adebayo has revealed the exact moment he decided to leave his legal career behind and fully embrace acting.
In a candid interview with Pulse, Adebayo recounted how a simple comparison of paychecks made him rethink his professional path. At the time, he was working as a lawyer and earning a modest salary of N20,000 per month. Then came an unexpected opportunity an acting role that offered him N50,000 for just three days of work.
“Acting was just a hobby back then,” he said. “But when I was paid N50,000 for a three-day shoot while my monthly salary as a lawyer was N20,000—I told myself, ‘Femi, this acting is your calling.’”
That eye-opening experience became a pivotal moment in his life. From there, he decided to follow his passion and step fully into the world of entertainment.
Since then, Femi Adebayo has carved out a successful career in Nollywood, building on not just his own talent but also the legacy of his father, veteran actor Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello.
What began as a side interest has grown into a lifelong career and a testament to the power of following one’s true passion.
