Edo State is set to come alive this December with the much-anticipated EDO CARNIVAL 2025 SHINEfest, themed “Illuminating Heritage, Celebrating Today.” This cultural extravaganza aims to celebrate the state’s rich traditions while embracing the vibrancy of contemporary Nigerian life.
Organized by Peak Rendezvous Global Limited in collaboration with the Office of the Special Adviser on Protocol to the Edo State Governor, the festival promises to be one of the biggest cultural showcases in Nigeria.
The carnival will roll out in two exciting phases, starting with the Dreamalive Talent Quest on November 1. This talent hunt will span across Edo’s three senatorial districts, giving emerging music stars a unique chance to shine. Finalists will earn a spot to perform on the main carnival stage — a major platform for up-and-coming entertainers.
Then, on December 14, festivities will kick into high gear with the opening of the Shine Beer Barn and Christmas Grotto in the heart of Benin City. This vibrant venue will serve as a hub of holiday cheer and entertainment, featuring comedy nights, themed beer tastings, live music, and more. It’s designed to bring together locals and tourists for an unforgettable end-of-year celebration.
