Reality TV star Kiddwaya has come to the defense of Erica Nlewedim, his former Big Brother Naija housemate and romantic interest, following backlash she received on social media over her inability to speak Igbo fluently.
A viral video had sparked criticism online, with many users mocking Erica for her limited command of her native language. In response, Kiddwaya took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to address the issue, stating:
“If you’re not making more money than Erica, then the joke is on you, not her.”
Erica also addressed the controversy in a follow-up post, urging her critics to focus on their own lives.
“Continue ignoring your real-life problems and target a woman simply because she doesn’t speak her native tongue fluently. Priorities,” she wrote.
