The Adamawa State Police Command’s Intelligence Department (SID) has arrested two suspects—20‑year‑old Dad Yusuf and 17‑year‑old Gibson Husseini—both of Upper Luggere in Jimeta, Yola North LGA, for allegedly stealing a 100Ah Mikano generator battery.
According to Command Spokesperson Suleiman Nguroje, the pair was taken into custody on June 28, 2025, after confessing to the June 23 theft at LCCN Cathedral, Jimeta. The incident reportedly occurred around 11:00 p.m.
Nguroje added that investigations are ongoing to identify additional suspects and recover other stolen items. Once the inquiry is complete, Yusuf and Husseini will be formally charged in court.
