Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platnumz has officially confirmed that he is married to fellow singer Zuchu. However, he revealed that the main wedding ceremony is yet to take place.
In a recent video interview, Diamond opened up about their low-key union, explaining that the marriage was initially kept private.
“The real wedding is coming,” he said. “This one was just for family—between us. Just a little something. Nobody knew anything.”
The artist explained that the decision to keep the relationship out of the public eye was to maintain focus on his music career.
“Back in the day, we didn’t want people to know. I didn’t want fans to lose focus on my music and start focusing on my relationship,” he said.
Diamond also addressed potential criticism about his stage performances with female entertainers despite being married.
“You can be married and still be committed,” he noted. “I’m an entertainer. If I’m performing or shooting a video with a woman, it’s just work. Don’t start asking, ‘What about your wife?’ I’m working here.”
