The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays in celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.
In a statement issued on Monday, June 2, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government. He extended warm congratulations to the Muslim Ummah both within the country and across the Diaspora. The Minister encouraged Muslims to embrace the spirit of sacrifice and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him) and to use this period to pray for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.
