Media personality VJ Adams has called out young men for focusing on superficial aspects when it comes to dating and relationships.
In a trending video, the popular TV host compared how women and men approach romantic connections. He pointed out that women tend to ask important and practical questions when introduced to a new partner, such as, “What does he do?”
VJ Adams, however, expressed disappointment in how many men handle similar situations. According to him, rather than making meaningful inquiries, men often focus solely on physical appearance.
He said:
“Afa, see young boys… I don’t know, by now you people still don’t have sense, but I’ll help you—that’s why ègbón adugbo is here. Look at your female folks: whenever they’re discussing amongst themselves and one of them wants to introduce a new man, the first question they ask is What does he do?
They want to check if he’s someone trustworthy, if he has asked them out before, or if he’s been involved with someone in the group.
But you boys? You’re just like, ‘Omo, this your baby carry sha…’ Never asking important questions.”
VJ Adams’ remarks have sparked conversations online, with many agreeing that emotional intelligence and due diligence are crucial in modern relationships.
