Canadian rapper Drake has voiced his support for fellow artist Tory Lanez, calling on California Governor Gavin Newsom to grant Lanez a pardon.
In an Instagram post, Drake shared a link to a Change.org petition titled “Correct a Deep Injustice,” accompanied by the caption, “@torylanez come home soon.” The petition, which has amassed over 250,000 signatures at the time of reporting, claims that Lanez’s 2023 conviction was based on insufficient physical evidence and alleges that the justice system unfairly targeted him. It further urges Governor Newsom to remove what it describes as “politically motivated sentencing enhancements.”
