A tragic incident has shaken the community of Nsukka in Enugu State, where a man identified as Ogbonna, popularly known by the nickname Mourinho, allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend, Chisom Ayogu.
According to reports, Chisom who hailed from the Amufie community in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area had gone to visit Ogbonna at his residence on New Anglican Road, Nsukka. Her visit was reportedly to inform him of her upcoming wedding.
However, things took a devastating turn during the visit. Ogbonna allegedly assaulted Chisom, leaving her unconscious. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors sadly confirmed her dead on arrival.
The suspect, who is from Igogoro community, also in Igbo-Eze North LGA, has since been arrested by the police and is currently under interrogation.
Authorities have yet to release a full statement, but the incident has sparked outrage and mourning across social media and the local community.
