At least two individuals were attacked and killed by unidentified assailants, suspected to be herdsmen, in Dachindo village, located in the Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The victims, identified as Linus Davou and Tunde Daylop, were ambushed and killed while returning from Hwot Village on the night of Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
According to sources who spoke to security analyst Zagazola Makama, a distress call was received at approximately 10:30 p.m. from the Commander of the local Hunters Association. The report indicated that the attack occurred around 9:48 p.m. Troops from the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with other security forces, were promptly deployed to the scene.
The lifeless bodies of the two victims were recovered and transported to the General Hospital in Riyom for documentation and further investigation.
