PSG were under immediate pressure, with Declan Rice heading just off target from a Jurrien Timber cross to spark a frantic five-minute spell. Gianluigi Donnarumma was called into action early, producing outstanding saves to deny Martin Ødegaard and Gabriel Martinelli.
Despite the bright start, Arsenal couldn’t find an early breakthrough and were left chasing the game from then on.
