Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Ben Cleveland was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) last week, according to TMZ Sports. The 26-year-old NFL player reportedly had a blood alcohol content (BAC) more than twice the legal limit.

Documents from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office indicate that Cleveland was suspected of drunk driving in Milledgeville, Georgia, on February 12. He was pulled over around 10:25 PM after swerving in the roadway and nearly driving his black Ford F-250 into a ditch.

During the traffic stop, Cleveland acknowledged consuming “approximately 3-4 beers” at a nearby country club before getting behind the wheel. Authorities observed his eyes to be “glossy,” and a strong smell of alcohol was coming from his vehicle.

Cleveland failed at least one field sobriety test and recorded a .178 BAC on a Breathalyzer, more than double the legal limit of .08. A second test taken at the jail showed a BAC of .161.

As a result, Cleveland faces charges of DUI – alcohol and failure to maintain lane. Since being drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Cleveland has appeared in 54 games, starting seven of them.

The Ravens have yet to comment on the matter.
