Senator Ned Nwoko has swiftly addressed and denied circulating rumors suggesting he intends to marry actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that he is expecting a child with her.
The rumors, which gained traction on social media, also claimed that Nwoko, who is married to actress Regina Daniels, is the father of Chika Ike’s recently announced pregnancy.
In response, Nwoko’s media team issued a statement on his official social media accounts today, labeling these claims as unfounded and completely false. Additionally, the senator denied reports that he had commented on the marital issues between singer 2Face Idibia and his wife, Annie.
The statement from Nwoko’s team reads:
“Attention has been drawn to the recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant with his child. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and stem from malicious speculation. Likewise, reports claiming he made comments about Tuface Idibia and polygamy are completely untrue. As a public figure, and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers to fabricate such stories. However, Senator Nwoko is currently focused on his national duties and has no time for such distractions. His office remains available for media verification, and we remind journalists of the potential consequences of spreading false information. The public is advised to disregard these rumors and rely only on official statements from his office.
