After clinching the Serie A title with Napoli and securing the title of African Footballer of the Year for 2023, Victor Osimhen envisions that winning the Cup of Nations with Nigeria could surpass all his achievements.
“It would be one of the best moments of my life,” the 25-year-old shared with AFP in Abidjan, where the Super Eagles are gearing up to face Ivory Coast in their second group game at the current AFCON edition on Thursday.
Having made history with Napoli and achieving individual success, Osimhen acknowledged, “no matter how many goals I have scored, to be able to win the AFCON, I would go a long way in my life but probably when I do that I am done.”
Expressing anticipation for a victorious moment with the Super Eagles, Osimhen, the focal point of attention in the Nigerian squad, notably scored 26 goals last season, leading Napoli to their first Scudetto since 1990.
