IGP Commands Heightened Measures to ‘Eliminate Kidnappers’ in FCT

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has urged increased efforts to combat kidnapping and criminal activities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Following a meeting with the Force Management Team and Tactical Squads in Abuja, the IGP expressed deep concern over the security situation, emphasizing the need for decisive action.

A comprehensive review of current challenges and strategic planning highlighted the importance of a coordinated, intelligence-driven approach. Tactical squads were directed to intensify proactive measures, with the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Operations, personally overseeing the escalated security strategies to restore normalcy in the FCT.
