Fatal Accident Claims One Life, Injures Another on Abuja’s Airport Road
Tragedy struck on Monday along the out-bound lane of the Umaru Musa Yaradua Expressway, commonly known as the Airport Road, in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, as one person lost their life and another sustained mild injuries in a collision involving a gravel-carrying truck and two smaller vehicles.
The victim, a woman, tragically lost her life in the accident, while the injured individual received medical attention for their mild injuries. The incident led to a significant traffic jam on the typically bustling expressway, causing inconvenience for commuters.
Efforts to manage the situation were underway, with officials from the Directorate of Road Traffic Services, the Federal Road Safety Corps, and the police present at the scene, working to restore order and assist those affected by the unfortunate accident.
