The Nigerian Army has announced its intention to investigate allegations of assault made by a female soldier, following the circulation of a video on social media.

The Army has Human Rights and Gender Desks at various levels, including Army Headquarters, where complaints related to human rights and gender issues are addressed.
Emphasizing the professionalism of the Nigerian Army, the statement urged personnel to use the established channels for addressing grievances and concerns. The Army is committed to self-regulation, conducting activities in adherence to rules and ethics, and maintaining the highest standards of discipline among its personnel.
