Tinubu Appoints Six NPA, NIMASA Directors

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu made significant appointments, designating six new Executive Directors to key positions within two agencies under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.

In an announcement by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, the President appointed three directors each for the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

Tinubu’s appointments include Vivian Edet as the Executive Director of Finance & Administration (NPA), Olalekan Badmus as the Executive Director of Marine & Operations (NPA), and Ibrahim Umar as the Executive Director of Engineering & Technical Services (NPA).

In the case of NIMASA, President Tinubu appointed Jibril Abba as the Executive Director of Maritime Labour & Cabotage Services, Chudi Offodile as the Executive Director of Finance & Administration, and Fatai Adeyemi as the Executive Director of Operations.

The President expressed confidence that these new appointees would effectively carry out their collective mandate to enhance the conditions necessary for a substantial increase in the Marine & Blue Economy sector’s contribution to the nation’s GDP.
