Nigerian businessman and fervent advocate of polygamy, John-Paul Ugwu, has voiced his support for Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s decision to take Judy Austin as his second wife.
Mr. Ugwu boldly asserts that polygamy is the optimal marital arrangement for African men. He advocates that any woman who opposes her husband taking additional wives should return to her father’s house.
“I stand with Yul Edochie forever. Any woman who doesn’t wish to be a wife should go back to her father’s house. Polygamy remains the best marriage for Africans anyway,” he proclaimed in a post on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
In a resolute statement, he emphasized, “In 2024, know that polygamy is the best marriage for African men. As long as you reside in Africa, embrace polygamy. Your longevity, peace of mind, and sound health matter to us as a married man.”
Mr. Ugwu pledged to create educational videos throughout 2024 to promote the benefits of polygamy and support men in embracing this marital model. He concluded by asserting, “Any day I stop talking about polygamy, stone me to death like the biblical Stephen.”
