President Bola Tinubu expressed full confidence in his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Monday. During the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in the Council Chambers of the State House, the President called for an end to all campaigns of defamation and unfounded insinuations against Gbajabiamila.

The President addressed concerns that he found discomforting, such as unauthorized individuals gaining access to the Council Chambers of the State House.

Gbajabiamila, who served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023 and won his re-election to represent the Surulere 1 Federal Constituency in the February 25 National Assembly election, was appointed as Chief of Staff to the President in mid-2023. He is a staunch ally of Tinubu, the former Governor of Lagos State from May 1999 to May 2007.
