Reportedly, a 500-level student at the University of Benin has tragically lost their life due to a shooting incident that occurred on the evening of Friday, October 27th, at the institution. Additionally, two other students were wounded in the attack, and their current medical conditions are not known.
According to online reports, a fight began at Ekiadolor days ago and culminated in today’s shootings in UNIBEN.
Some claim it is a cult clash and the shooters are cultists.
A video shared online shows a red car with bullet holes. The body of a man was removed from the car and taken to the back of a pick-up van where he was deposited.
Horrified students gathered at the scene and stared in shock.
Bullet casings can be seen on the floor and also drops of blood. A man’s face cap can also be seen abandoned on the floor at the scene.
Other students who were injured during the clash have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share photos of their injuries.
