Chochoo, a dear friend and former manager of the esteemed actor John Okafor, fondly known as Mr. Ibu, has emphatically dismissed the rumors surrounding the actor’s passing.
In an interview with Daily Trust, Chochoo made it clear that Mr. Ibu is very much alive and is set to undergo surgery either on Saturday or early Sunday morning.
He emphasized, “Over the past two months, there has been an unrelenting stream of rumors regarding his supposed demise circulating online. I am uncertain about the sources of these reports, because, online, he has been declared deceased; however, in reality, he is very much alive. He is scheduled for another medical procedure, either today or tomorrow morning. Although I used to be his manager, we maintain a close relationship. While online reports have declared him dead, he remains very much alive in reality.”
Regarding the reports concerning Mr. Ibu facing potential amputation, Chochoo offered clarification, saying, “He has been grappling with health complications, most notably diabetes. In contrast to online reports suggesting the necessity of leg amputation, medical experts have recommended the removal of two toes due to their severe deterioration brought on by the illness.”
