President Bola Tinubu’s administration has rescheduled the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, moving it from Wednesdays to Mondays.

The Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, made this announcement while addressing State House correspondents immediately after the FEC meeting took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

President Tinubu has thus far convened only two FEC meetings since he inaugurated his cabinet in August. The most recent FEC gathering, which took place on Monday, also included the swearing-in of three additional ministers who had recently undergone screening by the National Assembly.

The Minister of Information emphasized that FEC meetings might not occur on a regular basis, especially when there are no pressing matters to discuss.

During the tenure of his predecessor, President Muhammadu Buhari, FEC meetings were traditionally held on Wednesdays.
