Nigerian music star, Kizz Daniel, has responded to allegations of being detained in Ivory Coast for reportedly accepting payment and then refusing to perform.
In a statement posted on his Instagram page, the singer clarified that his agent had signed a contract containing a “no money, no performance” clause. He went on to explain that despite a delay in a promised bank transfer and the assurance of receiving his performance fee upon his arrival in the country, he agreed to fly in and perform.
Kizz Daniel also shared that he proceeded with the performance even without receiving the payment, but the situation took a turn when his team encountered an attack backstage. He emphasized that he was not detained and has already left the country.
