Tinubu Appoints New Leadership for NCC, NIPOST, and Three Other Organizations, Replacing Danbatta

President Bola Tinubu has made immediate changes in the leadership of three agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovations, and Digital Economy.

The affected individuals include Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Sunday Adepoju of the Nigerian Postal Service, and Tukur Funtua of the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited. This decision was communicated in a statement released on Wednesday by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

The newly appointed CEOs are Aminu Maida, who now serves as the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of NCC; Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, who takes on the role of Managing Director of NIGCOMSAT; and Tola Odeyemi, who assumes the position of Postmaster General of NIPOST.

Furthermore, Kashifu Abdullahi and Dr. Vincent Olatunji have been reappointed as the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency and the National Commissioner of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, respectively.

Additionally, the appointment of a new Special Adviser on Technology and Digital Economy, Idris Alubankudi, has been approved.
