Vehicle Smuggling: Customs and FRSC Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Data Sharing, Optimization, and More

The Nigeria Customs Service and the Federal Road Safety Corps have inked a memorandum of understanding for automated vehicle registration data sharing.

This collaborative effort is aimed at curbing vehicle smuggling within the country.

The MoU was officially signed on Tuesday by Adewale Adeniyi, the acting Comptroller-General of Customs, and Dauda Ali, the Corps Marshal, at the Federal Road Safety Corps headquarters in Abuja.

The partnership also extends to optimizing resources, enhancing road safety, boosting revenue generation, and addressing various vital aspects of vehicle documentation.

Adeniyi is confident that this collaboration will promote unity between the two agencies and effectively curb revenue leakages.
