The Plateau State House of Assembly Speaker and Mikang constituency lawmaker, Hon. Moses Sule, have been removed from office by a National and State House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal convened in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.

The tribunal has ruled that Hon. Sule’s nomination for the March 18, 2023 election was not in accordance with his Party’s regulations. Consequently, Na’anlong Daniel of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared the rightful winner of the election.

The tribunal’s decision is rooted in the finding that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) lacked the necessary organizational structure during the election, contrary to a judgment delivered by Justice S. P. Gang on November 26, 2020. Therefore, all votes garnered by the PDP in that election have been invalidated.

Hon. Justice Mohammed Tukur, who presided over the tribunal, has instructed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to revoke Hon. Sule’s Certificate of Return and issue a new one to Hon. Daniel.
