Napoli coach Rudi Garcia has emphasized that star striker Victor Osimhen remains deeply dedicated to the club, despite recent tensions arising from controversial TikTok videos associated with Napoli.

Osimhen showcased his commitment to the team by playing a pivotal role, contributing a goal in Napoli’s impressive 4-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday, September 27.

In an interesting display of his loyalty, the Nigerian international chose not to celebrate his goal, possibly expressing his displeasure regarding the aforementioned TikTok videos.

Napoli coach, Rudi Garcia plays down suggestions Victor Osimhen is unhappy after

Napoli’s social media accounts ignited controversy by posting videos on their TikTok account that mocked Osimhen. This led to his agent threatening legal action.

Garcia acknowledged before the match that these posts had created an ‘awkward’ atmosphere in the lead-up to the game.

The Frenchman asserted after Napoli’s victory that Osimhen remains wholeheartedly committed to the Italian champions, despite the forward deleting nearly all of his posts featuring the club’s shirt on Instagram.

Furthermore, Garcia downplayed reports of a falling out with Osimhen, despite the striker’s outburst on the touchline after being substituted in a goalless draw against Bologna on Sunday.

“I can assure you that Victor loves this jersey,” Garcia stated, according to Football Italia. “He is fully invested in our project.”

“I have a very good relationship with Victor. I am delighted for him because he scored tonight.”

“After the match in Bologna, we were all frustrated and angry, especially Victor, as he missed the penalty. In recent days, there have been numerous challenges, both in terms of sports and other aspects, notably on TikTok.”

“Over the past two days, there was some trouble due to some clumsy behavior. Nobody intended to cause harm, neither TikTok with the video of Victor nor Victor himself when he removed his photos from social media.”

“Nobody had the intention to hurt anyone; these were impulsive reactions and are understandable. It’s his social media account, and he can manage it as he sees fit.”
