Abuja residents gathered at Unity Fountain on Friday for a candlelight procession to pay tribute to the late singer Mohbad.
Ilerioluwa Aloba, who hails from Lagos, tragically passed away last week under circumstances that have raised significant questions.
The untimely demise of Mohbad has sparked intense discussions within the Nigerian community, prompting numerous citizens to march in the streets, fervently demanding justice.
In a concerted effort to bolster the demands for justice, residents of Abuja congregated at Unity Fountain to hold a candlelight procession and concert. This event took place just one day after a similar gathering in Lagos.
Many attendees displayed placards adorned with various inscriptions to emphasize their message during the gathering, which commenced at 7 pm. The majority of participants were clad in white tops, and they enthusiastically danced to the melodies of Mohbad’s songs. Notably, Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh graced the event with her presence.
Prior to this occasion, protests had erupted in several cities across Nigeria, predominantly led by young activists, to call for justice in the case of the Peace coroner.
