Nyesom Wike has assured Nigerians of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises, telling them that the Nigerian leader feels their pain.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) made this statement while inaugurating the road rehabilitation project in the Garki area of Abuja on Monday.
The FCT Minister of State and I are here to assure you that the agenda of Renewed Hope, as championed by Mr. Tinubu, is not just rhetoric, but a tangible vision in action. We want to convey that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is actively progressing. Mr. President’s agenda is not confined to mere words; it is manifested through concrete actions. This is precisely why we are launching several road projects in this locality,” emphasized Wike during his address to the gathering.
“This marks the initiation of phase one, with phase two set to commence in the coming weeks. Our focus remains on enhancing infrastructure, a key component of the President’s pledge. We are committed to fulfilling these promises step by step.
“I want to emphasize that I would not be part of this if I had doubts about its success. I joined Mr. President’s cabinet because I am convinced of his sincere intentions for our nation. He genuinely desires the best for our country, and he has demonstrated his empathy for the challenges faced by Nigerians,” added the former Governor of Rivers State.
Wike, expressing concern about the current state of infrastructure and various other aspects in Nigeria’s capital city, has provided assurance to the residents of Abuja regarding his administration’s dedication to improving the situation in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
He remarked, “The FCT today is different from what it was before. We are committed to bringing about comprehensive change.” He also appealed to the residents of the area for their support and patience as the road projects get underway.
