Google has announced that Alex Okosi, presently serving as the Managing Director for YouTube in EMEA Emerging Markets, will assume the position of Managing Director for Google in Africa.
In his newly appointed position, Alex Okosi will assume the crucial responsibility of overseeing Google’s operations in Africa. This role encompasses initiatives aimed at fostering the growth of businesses and economies across the continent. Additionally, Okosi will spearhead efforts to broaden internet accessibility and deliver valuable web tools to empower the next billion users.

Okosi is a highly experienced leader in the fields of media, entertainment, and technology. Before his tenure at YouTube, he served as the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Viacom International Media Networks Africa and BET International. In his latest role at YouTube, Okosi played a crucial role in driving the platform’s growth and expansion throughout Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey.
