President Bola Tinubu, on Friday, announced the appointment of Khalil Suleiman Halilu as the newly appointed Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
The information was revealed in a statement released on Friday by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity
He emphasized that in accordance with the applicable sections of the NASENI Act of 2014, Halilu’s appointment entails an initial term of five years.
As per Ngelale’s statement, Halilu, aged 32, is anticipated to leverage his substantial expertise as an innovator and technology specialist in this crucial new national role.
The statement announced that with Halilu’s appointment, the tenure of Dr. Bashir Gwandu as EVC/CEO of NASENI has been officially concluded. Furthermore, it emphasized that, in accordance with the President’s directive, the appointment is effective immediately.
