Presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale has emphasized that President Bola Tinubu has outlined clear objectives for each sector within the country and will not tolerate any shortcomings from his recently inaugurated ministers.
In an interview with Channels Television on Monday, August 28, Ngelale revealed that during the interim period between President-elect Tinubu’s victory and his official inauguration on May 29, the President established a series of reform committees spanning all sectors.
Ngelale stated, “The President has meticulously defined these benchmarks. The focal point now revolves around effective implementation, as demonstrated by his track record during his tenure as Governor in Lagos State. President Tinubu is resolute and unhesitant when it comes to making necessary personnel changes or applying swift corrective measures to ensure the attainment of desired outcomes.”
He continued, “President Tinubu is unwavering in his commitment to achieving success, for in the event of any setbacks, the criticism would not target individual ministers but would attribute any failures to President Bola Tinubu. This outcome is something he vehemently refuses to accept.”
Ngelale highlighted, “Tinubu has meticulously examined the accomplishments of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, and has crafted a blueprint to build upon these achievements. The strategy involves the meticulous execution of a well-structured plan within defined timeframes, incorporating time-based benchmarks. This approach enables us to gauge the performance of each minister against predefined standards.”
He concluded by stating, “Every incoming minister is well-versed in their specific responsibilities and understands the precise objectives they need to fulfill within the stipulated timeframes set by the President. This marks an unprecedented chapter in the history of Nigerian governance, underscoring President Tinubu’s commitment to effective and goal-oriented leadership.”
