Mr. Favour Ibex, who is claimed to be the alleged fiancé and manager of Nigerian gospel singer Amaka Gift, has come forward with allegations that she abandoned their relationship in favor of another man. He asserts that he had been a significant supporter of her career for a span of nine years.
In a Facebook post on August 28, 2023, Favour, the owner of a broadcasting and media firm, recounted how he encountered Amaka through her involvement in a local church choir. Their relationship evolved over three years of dating before he introduced her to the world of music in 2017.
According to Mr. Ibex, he and Amaka were engaged and had received blessings from their families. Yet, they chose to keep their relationship private to safeguard her gospel career and educational pursuits.
He stated, “My only transgression was that I upheld my reverence for God by maintaining a platonic bond. I awaited her graduation before proceeding with traditional marriage rites.”
Favour elaborated on his extensive contributions to Amaka’s career, including creating and promoting her social media accounts, producing videos, and managing online content. He claimed responsibility for funding initiatives such as newspapers, radio campaigns, CD production, branding, and hosting concerts. Additionally, he facilitated charity work, rehearsals, and other activities to propel Amaka’s career.
Furthermore, he detailed furnishing Amaka’s living space, outfitting it with possessions and equipment to facilitate both her musical and academic pursuits.
Trouble arose when he introduced Amaka to Maxy Michael for a collaborative project. This led to Favour encountering compromising images and videos of Amaka and Maxy.
Upon confronting Amaka, she confessed to being romantically involved with Maxy. Subsequently, she attempted to alter her social media passwords, prompting Favour to deactivate the pages.
In summary, Favour disclosed that Amaka’s social media accounts were removed by him due to a breach of trust, love, commitment, and his nine-year investment in her career.
