Justice Dije Abdu Aboki was officially inaugurated as the Chief Judge of Kano State on Monday, August 7th.
Justice Aboki had assumed the role of acting Chief Judge on March 9th, having been appointed by former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje following the retirement of Justice Nura Sair. With her swearing-in, Justice Aboki makes history as the first female Chief Judge of the North-Western state.
In her address, Chief Judge Aboki expressed profound gratitude for the privilege to serve the state and made a steadfast commitment to upholding the values of integrity, honesty, and justice throughout her tenure.
She stated, “Our mission is to rekindle the judiciary’s former eminence within our state, reinstating its esteemed reputation.”
This significant milestone marks not only a testament to Justice Aboki’s distinguished career but also to the advancement of gender diversity and inclusivity in leadership positions within the Kano State judiciary.
