Amidst nationwide protests, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) counterpart, Festus Osifo, held a significant meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday.
The labor leaders, who left the Villa approximately 30 minutes after their arrival at 5:38 pm, stated that the President had made certain commitments to urgently address crucial issues.
They further mentioned that they would relay the outcomes to their executive committees, where a decision regarding the ongoing protest would be made. Additionally, the Labour representatives disclosed that a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting is scheduled for Thursday, during which all the pertinent matters will be thoroughly deliberated upon.
