THE Senate will today begin the second day of screening the Ministerial Nominees submitted last Thursday by President Bola Tinubu for subsequent confirmation.
President Tinubu held a meeting last week to nominate twenty-eight candidates for Senate screening.
Yesterday, the Senate screened fourteen out of the twenty-eight nominees, and today they are set to attend to another fourteen nominees. Currently, the Senate is also focusing on the presentation of bills slated for first reading, with a total of eleven bills being presented.
Today’s Order Paper indicates that the Senators will commence the screening of Ministerial Nominees. The fourteen nominees listed for screening today are as follows:

- Adebayo Olawale Edun (Ogun)
- Nasir Ahmad El-rufai CON (Kaduna)
- Ahmed Musa Dangiwa (Katsina)
- Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji (Enugu)
- Stella Erhuvwuoghene Okotete (Delta)
- Dele Alake (Ekiti)
- Adekola Adebayo Adelabu (Oyo)
- Muhammad Idris (Niger)
- Professor Ali Pate Bauchi
- Doris Anite Uzoka (Imo)
- Lateef Fagbemi SAN (Kwara)
- Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo Akwa (Ibom)
- Barr Hannatu Musawa (Katsina)
It should be noted that on Monday, the Senate already screened the following nominees:
