Many people far and wide have been caught up in the euphoria of Scotland’s Euro 2020 win – and joined in the post-match celebrations of the players in the Serbian dressing room.
The videos of the players dancing to ‘Yes Sir, I Can Boogie’ by Baccara in the dressing room, and hotel renditions of Whigfield’s ‘Saturday Night’ and Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’ have gone viral – and the celebrations have even reached the behemoths of the wrestling world.
Scotland are indeed on a rich vein of form as not only has Steve Clarke’s side won qualification to next summer’s European Championships, but Drew McIntyre, originally from Ayr, landed the WWE world championship on Monday night.
And performing one of his flamboyant acrobatic moves on in-ring opponent Randy Orton, McIntyre sent a message to the team when he yelled to the camera and millions watching at home “Wow, yes sir, I can boogie! Here we go!” en route to winning his second championship belt.
